James D. Miller
James D. Miller is an Associate Professor of Economics at Smith College and a contributor to Tech Central Station and Better Investing Magazine.
He was involved in a well-publicized tenure dispute. He was initially denied tenure by Smith College. Miller claimed that this was due to his conservative political beliefs. Smith’s Grievance Committee found problems with Miller’s first tenure review and ordered another. Smith granted Miller tenure his second time up.
In 2004 Miller was an unsuccessful Republican candidate for the Massachusetts State Senate.
